Artist Bio
Kevin L. Nault
Kevin is the writer of “The Shortest Distance”, is of middle height,
frequently wears a Utilikilt, and his main hobby is demonstrating
that he is just crazy enough to do it. Two script pages from The
Shortest Distance can be found opposite their respective comic
pages, later in this issue.
The Shortest Distance started out as an uncooperative short story,
which forced Kevin to first give up and stuff it a folder deep on
his hard drive, and then decide that was far less satisfying than
slamming a desk drawer. Lacking that catharsis, the only option
was to make the story work. Some two years later, it finally occurred
to Kevin that his swelling comic collection might house the
answer. The resulting script is the first six pages of the comic you
hold in your hand. With it’s new wardrobe in the latest scripting
fashions, the story became tractible and amenable to expansion.
The fact that it is not a work of utter genius should only be held
against the writer, who’s a bit shifty anyway.
